good value for money. basic breakfast, it was good enough for a couple of days though. great location, half way between the railway station and the city centre
Hotel Tivoli was a quaint, comfortable hotel. We had 17 people in our group, and everyone was pleased with their accommodations. Breakfast was sufficient. The location is quite far from St. Mark's Square, but hotel was near vaporetto St. Toma stop. No elevator, so pack light!!! Sergio and the other staff were wonderful!!!!
Clean, comfortable rooms Courteous staff Good breakfast Reasonably close to station and bus stop close to river taxi stop
It is in a narrow alley - but that is the way most of the hotels are in Venice inner city. An early check out time of 10.30 am is not verz suitable for families on vacation
Very friendly, helpful multi-lingual staff. It's in a part of town that is close enough to the main points of interest, but still far enough to be in the more economical areas. Unlike many other areas of Venice, the street is generally quiet and the plentiful restaurants and bars around the hotel are far more reasonably priced. (Across the street you can get a slice of margherita for 1.50. For Venice that's pretty cheap. ) The breakfast in the garden was sublime. Free internet access and didn't charge me for the phone calls.
The bathroom was very small. It also took us a while to figure out how the AC worked.
It was a nice simple hotel that was not overpriced and was close to the vaporeto stop, yet it was eqaly easy to get there by foot fromt he train station (once I managed to orient myself). It was also close to many restaurants and little shops. While it was not a luxury hotel, it was clean, included breakfast andthe staff was helpful. I'd say that it was good value for what I have payed for. I also like the fact that the staff allowed me to keep my bags there for the rest of the day after I checked out.
There is nothing I can complain about, because I got what I payed for.
Very friendly staff at reception and restaurant. Breakfast is better than that serviced in Paris’ 3+* hotels, not even mentioning a wide range of coffee proposed. Nice location: • easy to find, even in the night, from sq. Roma - you have to cross the THIRD bridge, counting from the Grand Channel, over a medium-width channel; then go 250 m along a right fondamenta (embankment), cross the bridge on the left (the fondamenta goes right), turn right and go 350 m straight (one more bridge on your way) and you’ll for sure find a backlit hotel sign on your right; • quiet place, not far from the Gallerie, and then from S.Marco. • in fact, not far from any remarkable sight here, however detailed map would help greatly. We truly recommend this hotel!!
The hotel is situated in a good quite location. A nice walk to San Marco if you are up for walking.
The breakfast was ok although it was poor choice.
Not bad location
Windows on the consruction site. Broken some toilet facilities. Very poor sound isolation
We had a smallish but very well-appointed room with a view of a pleasant courtyard and an entrance to the university. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very good in pleasant surroundings. It was in a beautiful neighborhood near the university and it was surrounded by many restaurants with menus for all budgets. Scenic canals were everywhere, and the hotel was close to a waterbus stop on the Grand Canal. From there all the attractions of the city are just a boat ride away.
It is a little hard to find until you learn the neighborhood.
Traditional nature and location
We had some fun with the staff. The front desk clerk kept showing up at the same restaurant as us, night after night, and it became a running joke. Their directions to get around Venice worked well and the staff was very competent in providing clean and comfortable accommodations. The only thing I wished for is that smoking be forbidden in the patio area during breakfast because not everyone smokes, but most everybody likes sitting in the patio for breakfast.
Free Wi-fi in your room Included bteakfast was goodand varied (but no omelette) Bathroom was very small but updated and clean Daily room service Quite at night
No elevator and nobody to help with the luggage. Air Conditioning was not operating (I was told that its not time to put it on), and the outside temp was 82°F. Noise during the day. No safe box in the room. Slow check out.
Location. Kind staff.
Breakfast hours - incredible to finish well before 0930!! Not being open all night (no night porter) - you have to get back no later than midnight or a bit after that.
Quaint hotel which was in a quiet part of venice. Close to "local" ristorantes etc which was good for us.
Small rooms - but its venice! oh and the walls are very thin - you can hear everything! and i mean everything that happens next door!
OK location, in a neighborhood filled by a combination of locals and tourists, at comfortable walking distance from both San Marco and the bus/railway station. Basic facilities and reasonably clean, very inexpensive.
Staff not very helpful or friendly. Terrible breakfast. We stayed three nights and the towels were only changed once. The Internet is working very poorly or not working at all in certain parts of the hotel.
